Snippets from around my yard today, Jan. 28th, 2009. The last 2 are of a crumby plastic wreath I can't bring myself to throw out, so I just left it on the steps all winter -- I liked these so much I posted both.There once was a bump on a log

Learning to blog
so this is how to publish a blog -- oy vey, there will be quite a learning curve for me on this -- I am getting old and my brain is saying no can do -- would love to learn how to upload pics, that would be cool -- if I teach myself how to upload pics I will reward myself with vanilla ice cream! -- have been awake since 2:30 a.m. tip-toeing around, listening to all the night noises; 3 different snores: one snore deep and rumbling (sp?), one snore light and wheezy, one snore a soft staccato; snowstorm: that heavy silence, every now and then the plough thunders by; gadgets: a muffled whir with a whoosh of air; house: fridge briefly comes to life, ice cube drops, ticks, tocks, light little pops, a scurry here, a swishing there, tiny feet that give me a scare................
